Land use decisions are made every day in the township halls, city council chambers and county board rooms of Minnesota.  No single organization can be everywhere to fight poor land use decisions.  That is the role of the citizen activist.  Your role.

1000 Friends of Minnesota seeks to build an educated and effective base of citizen activists who know what sprawl is and how to stop it.  To that end, we have created a Sprawl Primer that includes a variety of fact sheets designed to assist citizen activists in their efforts to stop sprawling development patterns, and to support smart growth.

The following links will lead you to these important fact sheets. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to read these files.  Click here to download Acrobat at no cost.
