Legislative Update

In collaboration with its partners, 1000 Friends of Minnesota has been working on a series of initiatives in the 2010 legislative session.

• “Complete Streets” legislation, which would require the Minnesota Department of Transportation to design and operate streets for all users: bicyclists, pedestrians, and people with disabilities.
• Additional dedicated funding to build out the transit system.
• Continue our work tying transportation and land use policies to the state’s greenhouse gas reduction goals.
• A bonding bill that invests in new transit investments.
